Five A Side Cup

There was a tremendous ending to the 5 A Side tournament, when the Final was decided on the final end of the last game on the green. Quarry Vikings "C" and West Kirby Victoria "A" were level on scores including the handicap with the last game also tied on 20-20 and with Quarry winning the end and the game 21-20, the final match score was 100-99 to Quarry Vikings "C". The winning team of Peter Birch, Trevor Barraclough, Chris Barton, Ian Gallagher and Brian Skinner had beaten Sandridge "B" in the semi finals and West Kirby Victoria "A" defeated Harrison Park "A" in their semi final. Quarry Vikings in the end adding a worthy new name to the winners list on the trophy.

 British Parks C.G.B.A.

The Senior County Championship Division Two match against Warwickshire takes place on Sunday 21st May. The home leg will be at Manor Road Cons. Bowling Club with the away Fixture at Sutton Coldfield Royal British Legion. There will be a coach leaving the Queens at Liscard for players and spectators. This coach leaves at 10-15am sharp.

With the new season now underway, members who do not already know, will be interested to hear that all the local crown green bowling news from all the Leagues can be seen in the Wirral Globe every week.
