Tuesday January 31st

Queens Royal change home venue

Queens Royal Bowling Club have decided to change venues for the 2012 season and have moved from Marine Park No.2 green to Mount Pleasant Road, Wallasey and will share that green with Sandridge Bowling Club. Queens Royal's fixtures have now been changed to avoid playing at home on the same night as Sandridge. Apologies to First Division clubs for the disruption caused by the fixture changes but Royal have finally conceded defeat in their efforts to get Wirral Borough Council to provide adequate facilities at Marine Park No. 2. The new Division One Fixture List can be accessed via the table above.

2012 British Parks Senior County Championship & Veterans County Team Knockout

All the fixtures and dates for the Senior County Championship and Veterans County Team Knockout can be seen via the British Parks link in the above table. I will shortly be contacting all players in both the Senior County Championship squad as well as all players from the Veterans team knockout squads as to their availability for this years events. The Club Team Knockout draw has not yet been made but our representatives in 2012 will be Queens Royal. This competition will be hosted by East Midlands on Sunday September 9th.

Divisional Cups & Presidents Cup Draws

The draws for the 2012 Divisional Cups (Association, Harold Jones and Sheppick) plus the Presidents Cup, were made at the Executive Committee Meeting on Wednesday 18th January and can be seen via their respective pages, accessed via the team competition page in the links in the table above. There will not be a preliminary round in the Presidents Cup and Tuesday May 22nd is now a blank date in the Calendar. We are now hoping to stage the Junior Merit on May 22nd providing we can get at least 8 entries for the event.

Saturday January 7th

"Crush" finds the deliberate mistake, what happened to "Scorpion"??

New "Vics" skipper, Karl Sherbrooke, proved he is quick off the mark by pointing out Doddy's deliberate mistake on the fixture lists sent out to clubs this week. Even Paul Saville has not yet contacted me about there being two sets of fixtures in each division set for Thursday July 5th. The fixture lists have now been altered and there are fixtures on Tuesday July 3rd and Thursday July 5th. Thanks Crush, wake up Scorp!!!

The 2012 League Fixtures for all three Divisions can now be seen via the league fixture links in the table above. When checking your own clubs fixtures, please do not hesitate to let me know if you find any errors. Manor Road "C" team and Moreton R.B.L. "B" team will continue to play their home fixtures on Wednesday nights.
